The Lake County Chapter of California Women for Agriculture is one of 26 chapters statewide which make up the largest, most active all-volunteer agricultural support organizations in California. We are also affiliated with the nationwide American Agri-Women.
CWA members are for agriculture. We convey the benefits of a vibrant farm economy to those in positions to impact the future of agriculture in California and the nation. Our foundation has expertise in education, public relations and political activities. Many members are involved in traditional farming, and many are professionals in banking, law, business, regulatory agencies, sales, politics, communications and education.
Locally, our chapter is active in the oversight of political issues, educating our young as well as our public officials and promoting the benefits of agriculture to the health and economy of Lake County. We have fun with meetings, trips and fund-raising and welcome new and returning members. Our current president is Michelle Scully.

Now in its 11th year, the Lake County Winegrape Commission has been instrumental in developing the Lake County winegrape regionšs unwavering commitment to high quality winegrapes through education, marketing, and research. Lake County winegrape sales have increased to 33 million dollars in sales in 2002 and is one of the many positive forces marketing Lake County agriculture.
